Terms of Use
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Clavia mobile application, keyboard extension, and related services (“Clavia”, “Service”) operated by Clavia (“we”, “us”). By installing or using Clavia, you agree to these Terms.
1. The service
Clavia provides AI-assisted writing features (such as fixing grammar, rewriting, shortening, and adjusting tone) when you explicitly choose to send text from the keyboard. Output is generated automatically and may be inaccurate or inappropriate for your situation. You are responsible for reviewing content before sending or publishing it.
2. Eligibility
You must comply with Apple’s requirements for apps and keyboard extensions. The Service is not intended for children under 13.
3. Clavia Pro subscription
- Billing. Clavia Pro is an auto-renewing subscription billed through your Apple ID. Pricing is shown in the app (for example, $4.99 USD per month where applicable) and may vary by region or over time as displayed at purchase.
- Renewal. Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Management. You can manage or cancel your subscription in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device.
- Refunds. Refunds for in-app purchases follow Apple’s policies and processes; we do not control Apple’s billing decisions.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Clavia to:
- Violate any law or regulation;
- Harass, threaten, defraud, or harm others;
- Generate or distribute illegal content, malware, or spam;
- Attempt to scrape, overload, reverse engineer, or circumvent reasonable use limits or security measures;
- Misrepresent AI-generated text as human-written where that would be deceptive in context.
We may suspend or limit access if we reasonably believe these Terms are violated.
5. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy describes how we handle data. By using Clavia, you acknowledge that processing of text you submit occurs as described there.
6. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” to the fullest extent permitted by law. We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. AI suggestions are not legal, medical, financial, or professional advice.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of Clavia. Our total liability for claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for Clavia Pro in the twelve months before the claim or (b) fifty U.S. dollars (USD), except where law does not allow such a limitation.
8. Changes
We may modify these Terms or the Service. We will post updated Terms on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms where permitted by law.
